February 2019 Summary

Kangaroo Book Club Storytime and Craft

Valentines Day is widely celebrated in the Philippines, even with mass weddings in some parts of the the country.  My goal was to help children see through literature various kinds of platonic love...how to love one another as God has instructed us.

Children displayed creativity in decorating their heart persons.

Dramatizing The Most Obedient Dog in the the World that illustrated
love and loyalty for one's caretaker.

Bee-bim Bop! Sue Park show extended family members sharing loving fellowship and a favorite Korean dish.

Dewey, There's A Cat in the Library by Vicki Myron and Bret Witter beautifully demonstrates love for an animal and an animal's love for the many people who came to a library.

In Grumpy Cat by Britta Teckentrup we see a lonely cat trying to brush off a younger feline, then coming to its rescue in time of dangerous need and becoming close friends.

The Most Obedient Dog in the World by Anita Jeram illustrates love and loyalty for one's caretaker.

Resource Ordering Time

Bookdepository.com

Working on ordering resources for the Elementary-Middle School and High School Libraries. Teachers, staff, parents, and students have been encouraged to make recommendations for additions to our libraries on a chart in each library or via email to me. Those lists are being consolidated and checked, orders to be place soon. Teamwork. These are OUR libraries.
