Kangaroo Book Club Storytime

The Easter Story by Brian Wildsmith, with FIA's donkey.
I am most grateful for the opportunity and freedom to integrate
the Bible into storytelling.

Easter craft. children trace their hand for sun behind the cross
Also shared were The Parable of the Lily by Liz Curtis Higgs and The Three Trees - God Has a Special Plan for Everyone...two of my favorites.

Hosting Christian Musician Curt Anderson

My housemate Naomi Emberson and I had the privilege of hosting Christian musician Curt Anderson (https://www.curtandersonmusic.com/) for supper when he visited Davao. I thank God for his inspiring community and and Easter Chapel concerts at Faith International Academy. Curt's music lifted our hearts to God and ministered to our souls.

Small World! Delightful to meet another Anderson University (Indiana) grad 8600+ miles away from our alma mater. We happen to have both grown up in Church of God (Anderson IN) congregations...I cherish those roots. Good foundation for international ministry.
Neither of us cherish other commonalities - chronic postnasal drainage and reflux. (Can NOT remember what was so funny here.)

Homeschool and Preschool Storytimes

Topics for April storytimes included Easter, foxes and wolves, hippos and rhinos plus other critters.

Holiday storytimes are special to me. This year before Easter, I shared: Bright Easter Day by Julie Stiegemeyer; Parable of the Easter Lily by Liz Curtis Higgs; The Three Trees, A Traditional Folktale retold by Elena Pasquali; and Happy Easter Little Critter by Mercer Mayer. Children's hands were traced and cut out for the sun behind empty cross on a hill...as with Kangaroo Book Club (pic above).

CFC Family Camp

EMOJI Camp (Emotional Maturity Only thru Jesus-based Identity), Christ Fellowship Church's Family Camp took place April 18-20, 2019 at Camp Holiday Resort in Samal Island.

It was a blessing to get a few days away Easter weekend for fellowship with the folks I worship with weekly, worship, teachings, activities (including 6 am exercise class), meals and snacks
prepared for you, and some relaxation.

A new experience for me was our driving onto a large ferry to get to the Samal Island. There are 7000+ islands in the Philippines, 2000 of them inhabited. This was only the fourth island I have visited.
